Wordfeud is a two player competitive board game for iOS and Android, that is very similar to Scrabble. Play against friends or random players wherever you are.
Wordfeud has got pretty popular, and its easy to see why. Finding games is simple. You can start a match with a random opponent, or invite someone from your phone contacts or Wordfeud friends list. There's also a search, based on username or email address. Once your opponent has accepted, it's game on. Each player has up to 72 hours to play their turn, or they will forfeit the game. This encourages you to play multiple games, to make sure you can always play.
If you know the original Scrabble, you'll easily get the idea, and there are online rules available at the touch of a button. It would be better if these included in the app, instead of opening your browser, but at least they are clear.
There are a number of dictionaries to choose from, and you can play on the classic board setup, or a randomly generated board too. Wordfeud may be basic, but it gets the basics right. Perhaps in the future multiplayer games could be added, or league tables.
This mobile version of a classic word based board game is addictive and fun.
